It is sad not to get what you hoped for. But wishes that come true are like eating fruit from the tree of life.

Will you dare to carry on?

Growing up, I always had ambitious dreams, I wanted a fancy car, a fancy house, a nice Office with lots of paperwork on my desk like I saw in the movies, I wanted to have an important job, I wanted to change the world, travel the world and marry my soulmate and live a Perfect fairytale.

And so all of this eventually happened.

The funny thing is that the little girl dream and the grown up woman reality are so contradictory.

I was dreaming to achieve this, now I'm in my office with a pile of paperwork and I'm upset because I don't have free time, I don't have time off, even my day off which was today,the only day off I get once a week (my Sabbath), I worked all day until dawn.

I'm frustrated of deadlines not met, and than I dump my frustration on my soulmate the only one whom goes through the most difficult moments with me,ends up becoming my victim.

I forgot about my positive mindset, my affirmations, my tricks all because I didn't get what I wanted, when I wanted and how I wanted.

I forgot all the good old times, my dream job, the great achievements, the times where I was ahead of my deadline, when all happened as planned or better, yes I had this selective amnesia, and even my attitude changed.

And then I remembered a beautiful verse:

Proverbs 13:12 NCV

It is sad not to get what you hoped for. But wishes that come true are like eating fruit from the tree of life.

Essentially, often times, we cherish our hope so much, we forget how far we've come, how much we've accomplished, we become ungrateful , bitter and self-centred.

And today I realized that I did everything I could, everything I should and beeing angry, irritable and constantly complaining of how this was unfair, how this was X,y,z wasn't my solution nor my relief.

Eventually everything passes, and thus ,this too shall pass.

Today regardless of the difficulty you're facing learn from my mistake, don't forget the good old times,carry on, it will all be solved in due time, and let me tell you that when you do your part,God will do his,the part that you can't fulfill.
