Hope in Difficult Times
Today I'd like to share my personal experience.
I've been a Pastor for nearly 6 years now, but I never thought I'd do such thing in my life.
I grew up very rebellious and angry at life and the world. I grew up in a broken home were no one supported my ambitious dreams and positive outlook on life.
My parents divorce was a life changing event, although it was necessary, it made me realize that I wanted a happy marriage and a happy family, I wanted a different life than the one I grew up in.
I couldn't change my parents or siblings, but I could change my future.
Teenagers often have crisis that parents seem to misinterpret, at that time I wanted to feel important, encouraged, supported and valued, and no one gave me what I longed for and needed.
My life was messy, and I felt so lost and alone until I one day,I open the Bible.
Although I grew up going to church, I thought it was dull and boring, but I loved the music.
However, when my world came crashing down, when I was crying non stop heartbroken, because life had taken the best of me , the last shred of hope I had led me to opening a Bible, I read words that made me realize someone understood my situation, every word was specific to my need, and that journey led me to where I am today.
In my darkest hour, in my loneliness and despair, the Bible helped me, comforted me, inspired me and guided me.
I randomly opened a page and it was written just for me.
With the pandemic and the quarantine, you may feel the same.
Above is a passage from the Bible written by King David a man whom loved God and lived his life to honor God, he is saying what I'm telling you, that the Bible can change your life like it changed mine.
Once I was a rebellious teenager, an arrogant woman and a foolish person, but today, I'm a happily married Pastor because God changed my life.
Let him change and help you.
