How to have Influence!
Matthew 20:25-26 ERV
So Jesus called the followers together. He said, “You know that the rulers of the non-Jewish people love to show their power over the people. And "their important leaders love to use all their authority over the people. But it should not be that way with you. Whoever wants to be your leader must be your servant.
How to have Influence!
In the above scripture, Jesus had healed two blind brothers and gave them their sight back. He used his miracle power to heal them but their mother became greedy and was asking for her sons to be as powerful as Jesus himself, but God told her that they were not prepared to do what he was about to do, that is Sacrifice his life, die in torture, to repair Adam and Eve treason to God. Their disobedience to God's instructions made God so upset that he had punished mankind and took distance from them.
Jesus was a symbol of restoration, he came to show us how to make God happy that is be willing to help, be kind, put others FIRST and be SELFLESS not selfish, by dying he expressed the most powerful act of Love, be willing to give your life for another to live.
These are hard concepts to grasp but essentially, the scripture states that powerful people don't show off nor brag, but rather, they focus on others, if you learn to be a giver and not a taker you will realize that you have more power and influence on your environment, your life ,others and the world.
This year, start it right and become powerful by becoming selfless and watch how your life transforms.
