It is better to say nothing than to make a promise and not keep it.

Talk is cheap!

I'm sure we've all heard this sentence at least once in our lives "talk is cheap", however haven't we also all been upset and disappointed in people not keeping their word?

It is important to be reliable, and to know our limits, it is important to properly assess our situations and capacity, abilities and willingness before we make promises, give our word and create expectations to others.

We can promise and advise in this way for example:

I can help you, however ,I can't confirm when yet. Once I solve a few matters I'll confirm a date.

Rather than, "tomorrow it will be solved count on me!  Than, avoiding the phone because you're unable to come through!

Choose wisely and carefully your words, and do not make promises you can't keep, its best to be silent than unreliable.

God himself, makes many promises without timelines, he always comes through but never lies about what he will and will not do whether we agree or disagree.
